KOTA KINABALU – The Campus Ministry Team (CMT) held a meeting on Mar 25 to officiate the 2023-2025 term. The meeting was held at Catholic Archdiocesan Centre (CAC) which was the former location of the old Catholic Student Council (CSC) building. The meeting was attended by 11 CMT members including Sr Terecia Loukang, representing the Campus Ministry Office (CMO).
Earlier in the meeting, Sr Terecia introduced the newly-appointed CMT coordinator, Ms Netly Rachel who also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and trust given to her to lead the team in journeying along with the campus students.
In the new term, the CMTs welcomed three new members namely Adriel, Noel, and Brenda who were former members of the Catholic Student Group (CSG) during their student years in the tertiary level. The other existing members of CMTs are Shannen, Dorees, Cherril, Holinson and Rhen. Although they are all working full time, they have expressed their willingness to serve as CMT members.
Other members namely Cindy, Jason, and Darren have chosen to serve as CMT-Friends to assist in the programs for the members.
Each CMT member is tasked to oversee the CSG according to the locality of their campus. This will help the CSG members to join their sub-group in gatherings and programs. A newly-created sub-team in the CMT, the LINOPOT, allows the CMT to reach out to members via social media platforms.
The gotong-royong program in the Msgr Wachter (MWC) building which took place last year, had managed to open the hearts of a few people to keep in touch with the CMT and to be part of the team.
Other former CSG members and former CMT members who wished to serve as CMT are welcomed to approach any of the existing members. It is hoped that the current team will keep the faith and to function along with the current trend, in journeying with the Catholic campus students in order to keep and to grow their Catholic faith.
Upcoming program is the Annual General Meeting for the Catholic Student Council (AGM-CSC) which is scheduled in late April 2023. Currently, each CSG within the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu (including Labuan) is actively conducting their own mini AGMs to select their representatives to sit at the CSC level.

The CMT meeting ended with updating of the organizational chart for term 2023-2025 that officially replaced Ms Dwana Andrew and Mr Jonathan J Omok, previous coordinator and vice coordinator respectively.
The new committee is as follow; Netly Rachel (Coordinator), Adriel Zichri Rukimin (Vice Coordinator), Shannen Henry (Secretary), Dorees J Mathias (Vice Secretary), Cherril Henry (Treasurer), and Brenda BB Taijol (CMT Welfare).
